HUMAN founder Jonathan Olinger traveled to Nigeria with Malala and her father Ziauddin along with Shiza Shahid and Eason Jordan of the Malala Fund to document Malala Day 2014.

Malala chose to have her 17th birthday in Nigeria standing in solidarity with the over 400 girls who have been taken by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, demanding their release.

The international media has been the main proliferator of Malala’s amazing and courageous story but the Malala Fund turned to HUMAN to help them document and share this story themselves through original media and social media.
